Our properties are located in towns and villages such as Grange-in-Borrowdale, Rosthwaite, Seatoller, Braithwaite, Bassenthwaite, Keswick, Ambleside and in valleys such as Borrowdale and the Vale of Lorton.

A number of our Lake District cottages have open coal fires or log burning stoves and many of our cottages are pet and dog friendly. One of the main attractions of the Lake District are the fells popularized by Alfred Wainwright in his seven volume collection of walks to all 214 Lakeland summits. If you are really looking to stretch yourself then perhaps the Bob Graham Round is for you - a 72 mile run taking in 42 of the highest peaks in 24 hours. Others come for the climbing and bouldering - with the dramatic scenery adding to the appeal. Outdoor activities are not limited to the fells - you can take to the water and enjoy sailing or windsurfing on Derwentwater. Alternatively, you can take on the challenge of mountain biking across some of England's most rugged terrain.
