Ullswater Cottage
One of two interesting and unique cottages, Ivy Cottage, being the other, situated near Ullswater.
The cottages, which date from the 16th Century, have been converted in such a way that they can be let individually or together as one single unit. Each cottage has its own stone terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. The two properties also have exclusive use of a grassy garden are with a sunken trampoline, a two storey playhouse (with lights!), and garden toys. Off-road parking is available for two cars at each cottage.
Watermillock Cottage
Watermillock Cottage started life as a farmhouse and has retained much of its original character with stone flagged floors downstairs and a large kitchen containing an AGA. The cottage sleeps between 2 and 8 people.
The entrance to the cottages is via a porch into a stone flagged hall. The comfortable reception room features an open fire, sofas, chairs, bean bags, a widescreen TV and DVD/CD. Family DVDs, games and books are available and WiFi access is free. There is a separate dining room and a large, warm kitchen complete with AGA, Welsh dresser and slate worktops. The utility room contains a washing machine/tumble dryer. Stairs lead to four well sized double bedrooms (two containing twin beds and tow containing double beds), and two family bath /shower rooms.
